June Events!
We have a lot of events coming up in the next couple weeks that we encourage folks to attend! You can also find these events on our recently revamped calendar page.
Hackathon, 6/14 - This will be a working session with our website lead, Henry Firth! This is an opportunity to help shape the future direction of the website. Spots are limited.
One Year Of Strong Towns, 6/18 - It’s hard to believe it was just a year ago that we had our Welcome Back Happy Hour with Chuck Marohn in the loop. Since then, our membership has grown exponentially, we’ve published several op eds, advocated at city hall, hosted several neighborhood walks, and much more. Come celebrate these accomplishments with us!
Op Ed Writers Workshop, 6/25 - Do you have thoughts on the state of transit, housing, and street safety? You should write an op ed! Attend this op ed writing session led by Strong Towns leads Neil Stein and Ronan O’Callaghan.
Chicago Mobility Collective, 6/26 - We’ll be tabling the Chicago Mobility Collective from 5-6pm. Come swing by! A panel and community table follow from 6-8pm. Details here and registration form here.
Bronzeville Walking Tour & Documentary Screening, 6/27 - In partnership with Borderless Studio, this walk will cover the history of Bronzeville. Afterwards, there will be a documentary screening of Beyond Closure.
Thanks for being part of Strong Towns Chicago! Help us put on more great events like this and become an official member today by donating $15.
