Give Public Comment Advocating For Parking Reform

  • Chicago City Hall 121 North LaSalle Street Chicago, IL, 60602 United States (map)

Attend the zoning committee meeting with other Strong Towns Chicago Members. Meet in the lobby of city hall and then make your way up to the chamber. Strong Towns leads will be there to help direct folks and polish talk tracks.

The zoning committee will be discussing an ordinance that would extend parking relief options to RS and RT districts in transit-served areas, allowing anywhere between zero parking and the current amount of parking required. It would also remove the need to get an administrative adjustment to achieve zero parking.

Eliminating parking mandates is potentially the the single most impactful reform to increase the supply of housing.
