  • Pilsen Walking Tour, 8/30 10:30 AM or 12 PM - Join us for a neighborhood walking tour of the culture and murals of Pilsen led by Luis Tubens with Pilsen Public Art Tours.  The tour begins and ends at the National Museum of Mexican Art and two tour times are available.

  • Bronzeville Pop-Up at Overton, 8/30 1:30 - 5:30pm - We’ll be at Community Day at Overton in Bronzeville. You can sign up to volunteer with us at our table - no experience necessary and snacks and water provided!

  • Strong Towns Chicago Monthly Meeting, 9/3 6:30pm - Join us for our monthly meeting at the Near North Branch Library. This event is free and open to all! Newcomers VERY welcome. This is a great opportunity to learn about our current initiatives and get involved. After the meeting, we'll head to Declan's (21+) for a post-meeting social.

  • Public Data Workshop, 9/17 6pm - Get a crash course on public data at the Near North Branch Library and learn how to use it to hold public official accountable as we go through a real-world example.

  • Park(ing) Day 2025, 9/20 12 - 8pm - Ever seen a parking spot that you thought could be put to better use? So have we! Come out to Dovetail Brewery and Demo Brewing Company as we, in collaboration with Chicago Growth Project and other urbanist groups, celebrate people over parking with creative displays, music, and food.

  • Palmer Square Park Tabling, 9/21 - We’re looking for volunteers to help man our table at Palmer Square Park and talk with people about better road design around the park. No experience necessary!

  • Strong Towns Chicago Book Club, 9/30 7PM - We’ll be discussing Abundance by Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson at Bourgeois Pig Cafe.
