Big Tent Urbanist Holiday Party & Happy Hour

Come join us at the Big Tent Urbanist Happy Hour on December 11th at 6pm! We will be rocking out at Revolution’s Taproom on Kedzie (3340 N Kedzie) with a who’s who of Chicago environmental, housing, and biking organizations, including Urban Environmentalists, the Chicago Chapter of Congress For New Urbanism, Emerging New Urbanists, Sierra Club, Abundant Chicago, Southwest Collective, Chicago, Bike Grid Now, and possibly even more.

Please join us for our first-ever Level Up Chicago virtual meeting to hear updates from the initiative leads and find out how you can get involved in improving housing in the city.

We will be covering our major aims:

  • ADU’s (aka Cottage Houses or In-Law Units) Citywide

  • End Parking Requirements

  • Fourplexes for All

We will provide a recording of this meeting as well as notes if you can’t attend. Additionally, there will be opportunities for open discussion! We would love to hear your ideas!

City Civics Day Highlight and/or Member Highlight

Multiple members of Strong Towns Chicago attended the 2nd Annual City Civics Day and our group photo was featured in the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) email newsletter as well as their Twitter! We can’t help being so popular.

Lastly and perhaps most delightfully, Strong Towns Chicago leader Aaron Feldman was caught in the background of the Jeremy Allen White Lookalike contest by multiple media outlets including CNN.

Strong Towns member Aaron Feldman appeared in the BBC, CNN, the Tribune, and other publications for his resemblance to JAW!
